What we need to do...is whittle

With so many things stressing us out and so many meds to counteract such stresses...might I suggest an old time remedy? How long has it been since you found a nice stob of cedar, sharpened your favorite pocket knife on a smooth worn whetstone, grabbed a seat and set on the front porch whittling...waving at passing cars and just relaxing? Been a few? Never have? It's Friday...make time sometime this weekend to whittle. Afraid of losing a finger? You have nine more! Relax...focus on nothing but making the thinnest shavings....so thin..they curl up like a pig's tail. Breath...shut your thinker off...and relax. If it doesn't work...you are doing it wrong.
