Woodstock 50 Lineup Announced

After months of anticipation, Woodstock 50 finally revealed the majority of its lineup Tuesday night.

Headliners for the 50th anniversary celebration of the original Woodstock festival of 1969 include some of the biggest acts in modern music, spanning a variety of genres.

The Day 1 headliners include The Killers, Miley Cyrus, Santana, The Lumineers and The Raconteurs.

The Day 2 headliners include Dead & Company, Chance The Rapper, The Black Keys and Sturgill Simpson.

The Day 3 headliners include Jay-Z, Imagine Dragons, Halsey and Cage the Elephant.

Woodstock festival co-creator Michael Lang promised Q104.3 New York's Jim Kerr and Shelli Sonstein in January when he announced the show that the lineup would be eclectic and multi-generational, and it appears he's delivered on that promise.

Woodstock 50 is scheduled for Aug. 16 through 18 in Watkins Glen, NY, which is about three hours from the original 1969 site.

The lineup announcement came after months of speculation and after a recent leak that named several of the festival's headliners.

Woodstock 50 will also include a number of acts who played the original festival. In addition to Santana and Dead & Co., which includes members of the Grateful Dead, the festival also includes Canned Heat, John Sebastian, David Crosby and ex-Credence Clearwater Revival front man John Fogerty.

Other acts of note are Robert Plant, soon-to-be Rock and Roll Hall of Famers The Zombies, Jack White's band The Raconteurs and Greta Van Fleet.
