I got my radio license October 2nd 1981 and became the Chief Announcer at WSCC where I hosted Rod's Rockpile. I then worked for WDMC in Richmond until graduating from Eastern Kentucky University. Fall of 1985, I worked the night shift for First Radio in Somerset for a year or so then became the morning guy for WSFC-AM & WSEK-FM...a lot of running from studio to studio. I always wanted to work at a Classic Rock station...and when WKEQ Classic Hits Q97 hit the airwaves in September 2005...my dream came true. Now I am so excited to be back on the air weekdays 10am to 3pm on 97.1FM. On June 1st, 2016...Q97 became WJQQ 97.1 Double Q! I am on cloud nine!
