What a way to start the day...at 3:30am! Apparently...smoke detectors have a 10 year life expectancy and five of our's kicked the bucket this morning. I drove to WalMart at 5:30am to get batteries only to find out...it wasn't the batteries. Our detectors were dated May 2003. I am taking a chance on that being the problem. So I bought 5 new detectors that have an adapter so they will plug into our hardwired units but the bases do not match so...I'll be attempting to "screw overhead".....don't go there. Anyhoo...perhaps my family and I will get more than three or four hours sleep tonight. On the menu for tonight...tired with a side of grumpy! Happy Tuesday!
